Dear Valued Vendor: 

We would like to take a minute to thank you for your business and remind you of our policy regarding Prohibited Materials. The two lists below outline material that Padnos will reject out right and/or accept after proper inspection and documentation. If you have any questions please ask to speak to the Yard Superintendent for further assistance.

 

Prohibited material:

  • Radioactive Material
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Any Liquids or Sludge
  • Oil Filters
  • Fluorescent Light Fixtures with PCB containing Ballast
  • Ballast Containing PCB’s
  • Capacitors, Transformer
  • Sealed Tanks (Freon, Propane, Gas, etc.)
  • Paint or Lacquer Containers of any kind
  • Household refuse (carpet, plastic, glass, etc.)
  • Non-metallic items (dirt, wood, ect.)
  • Tires other than attached to vehicles
  • Mufflers
  • Medical test equipment/X-Ray equipment
  • Fire Brick
  • Oil based furnaces
  • Mercury vapor bulbs
  • Nickel Cadmium Batteries
  • Halogen bulbs

 

The following items may be accepted under special conditions:

  • Batteries (accepted at non-Ferrous Metals Department, refer to QW 7.M7 Lead Acid  Battery Handling Instructions)
  • Catalytic Converters
  • Gasoline or Diesel Tanks
  • Wire Fencing Cable
  • Steel Piston Rings
  • Air Bag Canisters
  • Appliances (white goods) with CFC’s – Either by being on the Approved Vendor List for white goods or filling out Material Certification Form
  • Barrels – Must be on the Approved Barrel Vendor List
  • Fluorescent bulbs – green ends only
  • Gravestone markers, cemetery goods – only if sold by cemetery Manufactures themselves
  • Lead Components (wheel weights, etc) – NF departments only
