At Padnos, we invite you to apply for a job and build a career. From the first time you come in the door, you start to build a reputation for yourself. We are small enough that you can get to know everyone but large enough to allow you to choose your own career path and follow your passion. We have many tools to help you do just that!
We have a formal Mentorship Program that brings select new employees and long term employees together. It creates an atmosphere of shared learning and promotes assimilation into our culture.
The Millwright Apprenticeship Program requires that you complete 8000 hours of on-the-job training and 950-1050 contact hours of classroom instruction. This on the job training leads to State Certification.
Leaders in the company form small study groups to discuss leadership qualities and characteristics.
Each spring, a group of women have a series of 5 learning sessions.
Discovering your potential and building leadership skills is the focus of this workshop involving approximately 11 participants. A series of five sessions covers time management, project management, gender perspectives and panel discussions on careers.
We have a partnership with The Employer’s Association. They offer (sometimes onsite) a series of 5 Supervisory classes covering such topics as different behavior types, motivating others, communication skills, problem solving and coaching.
We have a partnership with Davenport College. They have developed a Supervisory Certificate which is equivalent to an Associates Degree. The certificate includes such college credit classes as presentations, diversity, business law, management and marketing.
We provide a chance to interact with the Director of Operations over informal lunch and exchange ideas on various leadership topics. This track is available to all layers of the company who show leadership potential.
